Dear
Dr. Andy,
I
first came to see you about 3 years ago, due to chronic neck and
upper back pain. I had never been to a chiropractor and was very
apprehensive. However, my neck problems were becoming significant,
especially after a terrible episode the year before.
After jogging
with a crick in my neck (I know, bad idea!), I developed muscle spasms so severe that I could not drive, raise my arms, lower my
jaw, or even lay down for two weeks (I slept sitting up). I saw a
doctor who prescribed me muscle relaxers, a strong
anti-inflammatory and a few sessions of physical therapy. I was
told I had degenerative disc disease and
would just have to be careful and make do the best I
could.
I
recovered enough to function, but began to limit my
daily activities for fear any false move could trigger
another painful episode. I remember unloading
groceries one item at a time to avoid lifting anything
heavier than a couple of pounds. Needless to say, I
was in bad shape!
Thank
goodness one of your other patients recommended you to
me. You were able to see on the x-ray that 3 of my
cervical vertebrae were rotated off center. Over the
course of 4 to 6 weeks, you restored my neck and upper
back to a healthy alignment, and showed me
strengthening exercises. For the first time in many
years, my neck and back felt comfortable with free
range of motion.
Not
to sound too dramatic, but you changed my life so much
for the better. I hate to think of what terrible shape
I would be in today if I hadn't come to you. As a result, I am now back to jogging (thanks also for working on
my hip), lifting weights and best of all being an active mom again!
Thanks for using your God-given gifts to help me and so many others.
Happy
Holidays!
